For a calm, silent way to see the Himalaya, nothing beats a sunrise balloon flight over Pokhara. As the burner lifts you above the valley, the first light hits Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna and Dhaulagiri while Phewa Lake, the rice terraces and the city are still waking up below.
The flight lasts around one hour depending on the wind, and is run by a licensed balloon operator with experienced international pilots. It suits all ages – there is no physical effort involved.

Yes. Flights are run by a licensed operator with certified pilots, and only in suitable wind and visibility.
Mainly October to April, early morning when winds are calm. Monsoon months are not suitable.
If weather prevents flying, you can rebook for another morning or receive a refund.
Children usually need to be at least 6 years old and tall enough to see over the basket; pregnant women should not fly.
Warm layers, a hat and closed shoes – mornings are cold at altitude.
