Trekking In Nepal
Trekking in Nepal with Shalom Adventure Holidays
Nepal is home to eight of the world’s fourteen 8,000-metre peaks and some of the most famous walking trails on earth. Trekking here means sleeping in family-run teahouses, crossing suspension bridges over glacial rivers, visiting Buddhist monasteries and Hindu shrines, and waking up to sunrise on the highest mountains in the world.
As a Kathmandu-based, government-licensed operator, Shalom Adventure Holidays runs fully supported treks with experienced local guides, porters, permits and transport included, so you can focus on the walk.
Popular treks
- Everest Base Camp Trek – 14 days to the foot of Everest and Kala Patthar (5,545 m).
- Annapurna Base Camp Trek – 11 days into the Annapurna Sanctuary (4,130 m).
- Annapurna Circuit Trek – cross Thorong La (5,416 m) on Nepal’s classic loop.
- Manaslu Circuit Trek – a remote circuit over Larkya La (5,106 m).
- Langtang Valley Trek – the closest high Himalayan valley to Kathmandu.
When to trek
The best seasons are autumn (late September–November) for clear skies and spring (March–May) for rhododendron blooms. Winter treks are possible at lower altitudes, and rain-shadow regions such as Upper Mustang are good during the monsoon.
